WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Education approved Missouri’s American Rescue Plan Elementary and the Secondary School Emergency Relief plan and distributed remaining funds.

PECULIAR – More than 50 schools and nearly 600 varsity runners made the Oct. 2 trek to Peculiar to compete in the Kansas City Metro Cross Country Invitational, hosted by Raymore-Peculiar, including runners from Excelsior Springs.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers’ 10-game losing streak in varsity softball ended in dramatic fashion last week. With the score 2-2 in the bottom of the seventh inning against Notre Dame de Sion, junior catcher Daelyn Williams bounced a two-out, bases-loaded single off the fence to drive in the winning run of the Sept.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The varsity girls tennis team has been on the courts often the past few weeks. Excelsior Springs’ schedule has included conference play, tournament action and individual district play.
OAK GROVE – Excelsior Springs is back in the winning column in varsity volleyball. With a 3-1 win Tuesday night at Oak Grove, the ladies snapped a six-match winless streak.
