EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Police officers have one shorter shift to work every two weeks. Heeding Chief Clint Reno’s recommendation, the City Council passed an ordinance March 1 to start a police officer’s overtime pay once that officer has worked 80 hours over two weeks.

Arrest follows homicide

RICHMOND – The investigation continues into a suspected Lafayette County homicide following a chase involving law enforcers from multiple jurisdictions, recovery of a Pleasant Hill man’s body and the arrest of a homicide suspect, Ray County Sheriff Scott Childers said late Tuesday afternoon.

“We’re certain it is a homicide,” he said.

RICHMOND – The investigation continues this morning into a possible homicide, Sheriff Scott Childers said.

An adult suspect has been taken into custody and an adult’s body has been located, but details are not being released at the moment.
