EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigerettes, Excelsior Springs High School’s dance team, are state champions. The Tigerettes competed in the Missouri State Dance Team Championship, performing an energetic hip-hop routine.
KANSAS CITY – An Excelsior Springs native hopes to help bring the Kansas City metro area greater recognition in the hip-hop world. Jacob Gonzales, 22, whose stage name is Taco-FromKC, left Excelsior Springs as an adolescent for Kansas City and spent time in Los Angeles before returning to Kansas City in 2018.
LIBERTY – Northland Coalition prevention volunteers, including from Excelsior Springs and Ray County, have united with Tri-County Mental Health Services to host a virtual prevention conference from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.
JEFFERSON CITY – Sixteen student members of the Northland prevention advocacy group Youth With Vision met virtually with state representatives and senators to encourage support for pending legislation focused on health and safety issues.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Last year proved unlike any other for the Downtown Excelsior Partnership, and the businesses and organizations served, due to COVID-19, Executive Director Lyndsey Baxter told city leaders Feb. 16 during her annual report.
