Bond modification granted for Lawson woman
A Lawson woman has been granted a bond modification after being arrested onfor one felony and one misdemeanor charge.Nikkia W. Lawrence, 28, is facing one felony possession of a controlled substance charge and a misdemeanor of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.Lawrence recently appeared before Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Lori J. Baskins, where she entered a plea of not guilty and requested a bond modification. After considering Lawrence’s ability to pay, the nature of the crime, the weight of evidence, employment, family ties, mental condition, criminal record and the length of residence in the community, Baskins agreed to reduce the bond from $5,000 to releasing Lawrence on her own recognizance.Lawrence was released with bond conditions including regular reporting to Missouri Supervision Solutions LLC and having a home plan on Kary Lane in Excelsior Springs.Lawrence will appear for a criminal setting he...
