Confirmation on Crossroads’ target opening
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Superintendent Dan Hoehn expects to know if Crossroads Elementary School will open as planned for the 2021-22 school year by the time the Board of Education reconvenes Feb. 8.
Progress on the facility continues, Hoehn told the board Jan. 11. Construction crews were installing drywall and the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system, he said.
In other construction news, the board approved Hoehn’s request to solicit steel bids for the Elkhorn Elementary classrooms. The bids are “to get the structural steel ordered, so we can go ahead and proceed with the project,” he said.
Hoehn plans to present the board a few “nice options” of steel samples to consider in February, he said.
