Excelsior Springs Hospital services community through new initiatives

As Excelsior Springs Hospital been experiencing “amazing growth,” its board of trustees approved over $5 million to be spent on equipment, programming, resources and upgrades for the hospital and their affiliated businesses. During recent annual report discussion, Excelsior Springs Hospital Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kristen Dehart explained the growing forces that help make rural health care suitable for the community. The hospital staff has grown from 180 employees to 315, within the last three years, the CEO explained. “Amazing growth is happening with new programs,” said Dehart, noting the hospital has incorporated new programs within its growing force with outpatient care in orthopedics, rheumatology, dermatology and nephrology.
