Excelsior Springs man violates bond conditions, arrested again
An Excelsior Springs man who was released on his own recognizance, has been arrested for violating court-ordered conditions of his bond.
Facing felony charges of second- degree drug trafficking, Gary W. Gillispie II, 38, was previously released on his own recognizance while awaiting trial. He appeared earlier this week at Clay County Courthouse before Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge Shane T. Alexander after a bond violation motion was filed with the court by Northland Dependency Services (NDS). NDS, which supervises pretrial release conditions, reported that Gillispie’s submitted urinary analysis (UA) results showed positive for methamphetamine, amphetamines and methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA).
“This is not a simple possession charge, this is trafficking,” Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Nicholas M. Romano said. “He continues to be a threat to the community, and his bond should be revoked.”
