EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Assistant Superintendent Heather Gross gave a cautious forecast for fall enrollment growth at the district’s new Early Childhood Center, or ECC. Gross, who oversees student services, told the Board of Education near the end of its Aug. 9 meeting at the old ECC that the administration might soon have “a recommendation to add a classroom” and will likely “need some more personnel.” “But we want to see how school kicks off, especially with … some of the things … coming with COVID,” she said. The administration plans to see where the ECC stands in terms of attendance in September before making expansion recommendations to the board, Gross said.
