McDonald’s donates $2,500 to Good Samaritan Center

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The city’s McDonald’s owner-operators, Essig & Associates, presented a check to Sara Noblet, executive director for the Good Samaritan Center of Excelsior Springs as part of a COVID-19 Relief Fund. McDonald’s is donating more than $68,000 toward COVID-19 relief funds to organizations across the Midwest. “This donation will go a long way in helping the center make up for our losses in sales at our Broadway Bargains Thrift Store and having to postpone our annual fundraisers, which provide the support we need throughout the year to address poverty here,” Noblet said. For more than 30 years, the Good Samaritan Center has served needy community members in the city and surrounding rural communities. “With our long partnership with the center, we knew that this would be a way to give back to our community to provide relief in these times,” area McDonald’s owner Lisa Essig said. “We have a long history together and they are an incredible part of the community here…
