Meals and a Visit designed to fight hunger, isolation

Excelsior Springs is preparing to launch a new program designed to deliver not only meals but also companionship to homebound residents. Beginning in 2026, the Meals and a Visit Program (MVP) will provide nutritious food and social connections to seniors and individuals with disabilities within the city limits.Excelsior Springs Parks, Recreation and Community Center (ESPRCC) leaders noted the initiative grew from community feedback and years of observing needs among residents who cannot regularly attend the Senior Center.“Community members have been instrumental in giving back in many areas,” said ESPRCC Project Manager Jesse Hall. “This is another area that was brought to us as a need.
