Night Out lets kids, community connect with ESPD, ESFD
The Excelsior Springs Police Department hosted a National Night Out for the Community Outreach Program on Sept. 16 at Siloam Mountain Park.
Both the Excelsior Springs Police Department (ESPD) and the Excelsior Springs Fire Department were in attendance.
“National Night Out is a great way for the community to get out and meet their neighbors and community representatives,” said ESPD Lt. Ryan Dowdy.
“It promotes strong police and community relationships, which in turn, we believe help keep our community safer,” Dowdy added. “Excelsior Springs has always supported its first responders and this is one way we can give back, interact and continue to build that bond with them in a unique and fun way.”
The departments brought police cars, side-by-sides, fire trucks and ambulances for the community to explore and learn more about.
