Northland Clothing Center (NCC) is participating in the second annual National Clothing Insecurity Awareness Day (NCIAD), alongside dozens of organizations nationwide working to end clothing insecurity in their communities.

NCC was a founding member of the NCIAD movement last year and remains committed to this growing initiative to inform and engage communities all over the United States.

Clothing insecurity is a national challenge, affecting an estimated two in five children in America, up from one in five last year. Clothing insecurity is defined as a lack of sufficient, clean, seasonal and size-appropriate apparel. It is often overlooked in the theory that as long as one has some kind of clothes, the problem does not exist, but clothing insecurity has a detrimental impact on children.
