Edith Frances (McDaniel) Tarepin, 90, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away Sept. 5, 2020, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Missouri.

Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Excelsior Springs at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2020, with public viewing at Bross Spidle Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to noon.

Edith was born June 5, 1930, in Elmira, Missouri, to Howard and Frances (McKinney) McDaniel. On April 1, 1950, she was united in marriage with Waite Lee Tarepin. To this union, four children were born.

Edith was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and wa a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She attended Salem Christian Union Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Beverly Tarepin; two brothers, Rollie Dee and Wilbur McDaniel; and a sister, Shirley Miller.

She is survived by a son, Ronald Tarepin Sr. of Winston, Missouri; daughters, Cheryl Graham of Richmond, Missouri, and Carol Huffman of Lawson, Missouri; brothers, Dean and Earl McDaniel; sisters, Mary Ann Miller and Joyce Marrant; 14 grandchildren; a multitude of great- and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
