Everett Lee Rimmer passed into the loving arms of Jesus on June 12, 2024, at age 64.
He was born Oct. 10, 1959, in Excelsior Springs to Harold and Helen L. (Schoolfield) Rimmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his two brothers, V. Craig Rimmer and Dewayne K. Rimmer, both of Excelsior Springs; aunt, Virginia Middleton; and many cousins and friends.
Everett was proud to have gone through the Boy Scouts of America program. He received the rank of Eagle Scout and was a Hardway Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He worked tirelessly for many years as an adult leader with Troop 309 of Excelsior Springs and later served as an assistant district commissioner. Everett made many lifelong friends through the scouting program and always enjoyed teaching the young men.
Everett was a lifelong member of Barbee Presbyterian Church. He served as a deacon and on various committees. Most recently, he served on the Mission Committee and with the Wash Tub Ministry.
Visitation was at 10 a.m., with the memorial service at 11, Saturday, June 29, at Barbee Presbyterian Church, 501 Tiger Drive, Excelsior Springs.
In lieu of flowers, the family recommends memorial gifts to Barbee Presbyterian Church or the Boy Scouts of America, Heart of America Council in Kansas City.
