Joseph Good

Joseph William Good, 79, passed away Aug. 24. Born and raised in Excelsior Springs, Joe enjoyed nothing more than trips down memory lane while driving around his old stomping grounds. Joe worked as a TWA mechanic for almost 40 years; and during that time, he met and married the love of his life, Carol. Together, they built a house and had some good years of retirement in the Mojave Desert in California. After Carol’s death, he moved back to Kansas City to be near his sons, family and grandchildren.

“Jody Bill” had a heart of gold. He was intelligent, hilarious, humble and kind. Joe loved his big family that went before him, and we hope he was reunited with them on the other side.

He is survived by his sons, James (Tiernan) Good and Josh (Flannery) Good; and his grandchildren, Keegan and Michael.

We miss him so much. His stories and sayings will live on in our hearts and memories.
