Sabra Jean Morgan, 64, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away December 1, 2021, peacefully at home.  

Sabra was born August 7, 1957 in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, to Donald and Irene Chappel.  In 1964, Sabra became a big sister when her brother, Jeff Chappel, was born. Sabra graduated from Excelsior Springs High School in 1975, and shortly after received her nursing assistant certification in 1980.  She was part of the first graduating class from Smithville Manor.  Sabra worked as the Dining Room Manager at The Elms Resort and Spa for over 15 years, and was later a medical technician at Royal Care Center for 14 years.  

On January 26, 2002, she married the love of her life, Gerry Morgan.  They later purchased their "little piece of heaven" where she made her most fond memories with family and in her garden.  This is where she continued to cultivate both physical garden and garden of friendships which she cherished deeply. 

Sabra is survived by her husband, Gerald Morgan, two daughters; Leslie (Trampus) Dority, Geri (Randy) Morgan, one son, Stephen (Rachel) Morgan, her mother, Irene Chappel, her brother, Jeff (Jen) Chappel, three nieces; Carissa Mawby, Sabrina (Tyler) Chappel, Hope Chappel, one nephew, Hunter Chappel, nine grandchildren; Austen, Kaitlynn, Gracie, Taylor, Tristen, Izabella, Brick, Eli, Marley, and many other family and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her father Donald E. Chappel, grandmother, Gladys M. Chappel, grandfather, James Sloan, grandmother, Elizabeth Ann Sloan, aunt, Judy Stevenson, and cousin, Elizabeth Felkins.
