Kaye Eileen Woods, 85, Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away on October 18, 2022. Kaye was born March 6, 1937 to Roy and Grace Wendleton in Stover, Missouri. Kaye was a homemaker who liked gardening, mowing and reading. She loved her pets and her grandchildren and the Lake of the Ozarks. 
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Woods, a son Jeff Woods, and siblings; Henry Wendleton, Marcelle Rusk, Roy M. Wendleton and Jeanne Schild.

Kim Allen Curtis

Kim Allen Curtis of Excelsior Springs, Missouri was born on November 12, 1955 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Jack Francis Curtis and Patricia Ann (Grassley) Curtis. He left this Earth on October 20, 2022. A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 4-5:30pm with memorial service following at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, 217 W. Broadway, Excelsior Springs, MO. 64024.  In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions to Harvesters.

Wayne R. Green

Wayne R. Green passed away on October 7, 2022. He lived in Lawson, MO. Wayne was the son of Harry and Gertrude Green, born in Excelsior Springs on May 2nd, 1936. He was 86 years old. He graduated from Excelsior Springs High School with the Class of 1955. He also graduated from the University of Southern California and the Phoenix University of Nursing. He was a home health nurse when retiring, moving to Phoenix, Arizona. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Kansas City, MO.

Betty Mae McCrary, 93, formerly of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away Oct. 7, 2022. 

She was born Feb. 10, 1929 in Excelsior Springs to Kline and Ella (Williams) Teegarden. 

Betty was a cook for the Lawson School District until retiring. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene McCrary; children, Ronald McCrary, Connie McCrary Murray, Stephanie McCrary Perry; and sister, Chareena (Bug) Brown.

Jeffrey Allen Riegel

Jeffrey Allen Riegel passed away on August 7, 2022, at the age of 58, in Kearney, MO. His battle with cancer in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a sense of humor or that ornery smile. Despite the pain, Jeff stayed strong until the end. 

Jeff was born on November 1, 1963, to Walter Clay and Cynthia Sue Riegel.  Jeff loved to play basketball. After graduating from Braymer High School, he went on to study at William Jewell College.

Carl Carrel

Body

Carl Carrel was born in Ft. Lewis, Washington in an Army family that was stationed all over the United States and Europe.  Third grade was in Excelsior Springs while his father was in Vietnam and again after his dad retired to finish his school years here.  Work started at Worlds of Fun and the Pepsi plant in town.

Judith I. Pope, 82, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away, Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. 

Ms. Pope was born July 14, 1940 in Ottawa, KS, to George and Florence Pope. 

She was survived by her son, Jerry Kline (Shar); daughter, Susan Bond (Kevin); grandchildren, Carrie Hammond (Jeff), Stuart Kline, and Lucian Bond; and great grandchildren, Jaylin Sayers and Connor Bond. Judy and her family were blessed to have an additional daughter/sister, Mary Estes, who is a longtime friend and caregiver to Judy.
