Judith I. Pope, 82, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away, Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. 

Ms. Pope was born July 14, 1940 in Ottawa, KS, to George and Florence Pope. 

She was survived by her son, Jerry Kline (Shar); daughter, Susan Bond (Kevin); grandchildren, Carrie Hammond (Jeff), Stuart Kline, and Lucian Bond; and great grandchildren, Jaylin Sayers and Connor Bond. Judy and her family were blessed to have an additional daughter/sister, Mary Estes, who is a longtime friend and caregiver to Judy.

Theresa Ann Watson (Bass)

Body

Theresa Ann Watson (Bass), 44 years young, was murdered outside of her home on September 7, 2022. The loss of her love and light will be felt, forever. Theresa was born on the first day of winter solstice, December 21, 1977, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a 1996 graduate of Park Hill High School, and later graduated from Colorado Technical College in North Kansas City in 2012, receiving her certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She thoroughly enjoyed physically helping and healing people through her nursing career.

Marvin Leroy Sturm

Body

Marvin Leroy Sturm was born in Pleasanton, Kansas, to Claude and Grace Sturm, January 17, 1947. On September 15, 2022, Marvin, 75, died from a complicated illness, after a three-week hospitalization at Liberty Hospital. Marvin was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Marjorie Dalice Sturm, youngest brother, Jerry Allen Sturm, parents, Claude, and Grace Sturm, and niece, Tamara Loraine Tucker.   

Lynette Susan (Clark) Manley

Lynette Susan (Clark) Manley, age 66, of Elmira, NY, passed away on September 23, 2022, surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous battle with colon cancer. She was born on November 9, 1955 to Reedie and Beatrice Clark. Lynette was a graduate of Horseheads High School, in Horseheads, NY, class of 1974. 
 

Debbie Weidler

Body

Debbie Weidler, a devoted wife, mother & grandmother, 70 years of age, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, at Liberty Hospital with her family by her side. 

She was born Mar. 3rd, 1952, in Fort Benning, GA, to the late Reece D & the late Glenda Davis. 

Debbie met the love of her life, Edwin Weidler, while working together at Intercontinental Engineering & Manufacturing Corporation in Parkville, MO. They were married on May 23, 1986, joining their families & making their home in Excelsior Springs, MO.

Marian Carolyn Gish

Body

Marian Carolyn Gish passed peacefully in her sleep on Sept. 15, 2022. She was born Mar. 3, 1940, in Aurora Springs, to Lester Willis and Georgia Lucille Stark. 

Marian graduated from California High School and from Maple Woods Community College in Kansas City. 

On May 23, 1959, she married Roger Hurtubise Sr. He preceded her in death. 

Marellyn Ann McCoy Palmer

Marellyn Ann McCoy Palmer, 98, of Liberty, MO passed away on Sept. 10, 2022, at KC Hospice House at North Kansas City Hospital. 

Marellyn was born Dec. 22, 1923, in Liberty, MO, to Herschell and Elsie (Fowler) McCoy. She attended Liberty High School, Class of 1941. She married G.L. (Jud) Palmer, on July 15, 1944, making their home in Liberty, MO, on the farm that she grew up on.  

Ned Riley Holmes

Body

Ned Riley Holmes, 88, of Holt, MO flew off to the golden golf course on Sep. 11, 2022. Ned was born on Oct. 30, 1933.  

Donations in loving memory of Ned may be sent to Alzheimer's Association, or to the American Diabetes Association. A memorial gathering will be held 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sep. 15, 2022, at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Kearney, 925 E. State Highway 92, Kearney, MO 64060.
