Shirley May Warren, 79, of Excelsior Springs, MO passed away May 8, 2022, at home. Mrs. Warren was born Nov. 20, 1942, in Kansas City, MO. 
 
Shirley married Larry Warren on Apr. 5, 1974. She loved her family and would do anything for anyone. She loved dogs, especially Maggie and Racer. Shirley loved the outdoors and being in her yard doing yard work. 
 
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jesse Ruth (Dovenspike) Stephens; father, John; two sisters, Betty Reyburn and Mary Nicholson; and three brothers, John, Roy and Allen Stephens.  

On Friday, May 6, 2022, Sonja Joan Manley (Dougherty), loving wife and mother of four, passed away peacefully at home and surrounded by family at the age of 82.  

On Dec. 28, 1939, Sonja was born to John and Goldie Dougherty in Burchard, NE. She met her husband of almost 65 years, Sherman Manley, and they married on April 15, 1958. Together they raised four children: Kent, Kurt, Kathy and Korey.  

Velma Frances Clancy, 93, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri passed away April 28, 2022 at Valley Manor. Visitation will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs with a graveside service at Richmond Memorial Gardens to follow. Mrs. Clancy was born on March 9, 1929 in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. Velma very much enjoyed spending time with her family, watching old westerns, listening to old country music, and in her younger days she loved dancing.

Sylvia Christeen (Poe) Boston, 86, of Excelsior Springs, MO., passed away May 2nd, 2022 at the Excelsior Springs Hospital. Sylvia was born July 23rd, 1935 to Franklin and Frances Poe in Grant City, MO. 
 
Her greatest joys were her family and her friends. She lived that devotion every day. She cherished each relationship and brightened our lives with her sense of adventure, fast wit, and beautiful spirit. Her life was of compassion, and love. She loved us dearly as we loved her. How blessed we are to call her Mother, Grandma and Friend. 
 

Evelyn M. Bales Coursen, age 99, passed peacefully in her sleep at Liberty Hospital on Thurs. Apr.

Stephen David Boos, 66, of Excelsior Springs Missouri passed away April 27th, 2022, at North Kansas City Hospital. 

Visitation will be held May 2nd 5pm-7pm with The Elks lodge service at 7 pm at Bross Spidle Funeral Home 217 w Broadway Ave, Excelsior Springs Mo. 

Services will be 10 am Tuesday May 3rd at Bross Spidle with graveside at Masonic Cemetery Excelsior Springs.  Following service, we will be doing a lunch at The Elks Lodge here in Excelsior Springs. 

Mary Roush, 82 of Missouri City, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

Visitation will be held at Gowing Funeral Home, 202 Adams Street, Orrick, MO, on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 5:00 p.m., with a Memorial service following at 6:00 p.m. 

Mary Roush is survived by her two sons, Ronnie Roush and Donnie Roush and one Daughter, Connie Mathis. Three sisters, Lue Schriever, Georgie Fry and Deanna Potts. She is also survived  by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. 

Mary Louise Eldridge, 81, of Wood Heights, MO passed away peacefully Sunday April 17, 2022, at 8:44 p.m. at Lawson Manor with family at her bedside.  

Robert Steven "Steve" Gregory, 63, died Mar. 4, 2022. He was born April 17, 1958, in Kaiserslautern, Germany, to Lt. Col Robert Raymond Gregory and Marjorie Ann “Fisher” Gregory.

Alice “Carrol” McAnally, 82, of Excelsior Springs, MO, was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.

Carrol was born in Carthage, MO on June 15, 1939, to Clifford and Mildred Wright.
