Familiar faces take new turf on Excelsior Springs ball diamond

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Baseball fans will see a new turf when they see the Tigers play their home games this season. They will see many familiar faces, however, on that new field. One of those faces belongs to coach Aaron Holst, who enters his 22nd season leading the program, including an 11-20 overall and a 4-3 Missouri River Valley Conference West Division campaign in 2021. Holst’s roster includes nine players who started at some point last spring. Key returning players include seniors Seth Barton and Kian Dollins. Barton seeks to solidify his role in right field. Dollins seeks to establish himself as a pitcher and at corner infield positions after returning late last spring from knee surgery.
