McBee signs with William Jewell College

A soon-to-be Excelsior Springs graduate is taking his football career to the next level. And he won’t have to travel far to do so. Zeb McBee, who’ll graduate high school in May, recently signed his letter of intent to study at and play for William Jewell College, a private, Liberty-based NCAA Division II school that’s affiliated with the Great Lakes Valley Conference. McBee will join a program with a new head coach – former Smithville head coach Jason Ambroson, who led the Warriors to the 2021 Class 4 state title. He also will likely see some familiar faces. The Cardinals’ 2023 roster included Excelsior Springs graduate and redshirt freshman Amani Robinson. The new coaching staff will include former Excelsior Springs head coach Mark Faubion (see related story below).
