Price takes helm of varsity volleyball program
The Excelsior Springs varsity volleyball program is under new leadership in one way – and under familiar leadership in other ways.The Tigers’ new leader is head coach Cindy Price, who succeeds Kathryn Partridge. Assisting Price are returning staffers Lanie Hurt and Trinaty Jeffers.A longtime coach who retired is returning to the program to assist Price – Excelsior Springs High School Athletic Hall of Famer Terri Irons. Irons was inducted in 2022 as a volleyball and softball coach.Irons, Hurt and Jeffers will help Price guide a program that finished 14-12 overall and 4-2 in the Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference-Blue Division in 2023.
