A key defender of Excelsior Springs’ varsity boys soccer program plans to continue challenging attackers on the pitch after high school. Braedyn Sejkora, who’ll graduate Friday, has signed his letter of intent to play for Central Methodist University, a Fayette-based, NAIA school. “I feel as if Central Methodist will give me a better opportunity to succeed on and off the field and that is why I will be attending there,” said Sejkora, who chose to join the Eagles over offers from two Kansas colleges – Tabor and McPherson. Sejkora will head to Fayette in August. He’ll join the Eagles after helping lead Excelsior Springs to three straight top-four finishes in the Class 2 state tournament. “I am really looking forward to being able to play competitive soccer and adjusting to the different level of play that I will see at the collegiate level,” he said.
