Missouri wrestling beats Buffalo for 15th consecutive MAC dual win


No. 18 Missouri defeated Buffalo, 28-11, on Sunday to open its Mid-American Conference competition. The Tigers have now won 15 consecutive MAC duals. Against Buffalo, Missouri won seven out of the ten bouts with two technical falls and a pin.

Four out of the five ranked wrestlers for the Tigers won their bouts. Missouri's No. 24 Alan Hurt lost to Buffalo's No. 12 Derek Spann by a technical fall.

Something's clicked for Missouri men's basketball over its last couple of games, especially after a dominating 64-48 win against Southern Illinois on Sunday.

It was clear things needed changing after the Tigers' humiliating 68-60 loss to Charleston Southern on Dec. 3 in Columbia, one of the worst losses in Missouri coach Cuonzo Martin's tenure.

So when the Tigers traveled to Philadelphia four days later and beat a strong Temple team 64-54, it reassured Missouri's players that things were going to be OK.

Missouri hires Appalachian State's Eliah Drinkwitz as new head coach


A unanimous decision by the University of Missouri Board of Curators made it official Tuesday morning. Eliah Drinkwitz is the 33rd head coach of Missouri football.

"I am excited for the opportunity of a lifetime to be the head football coach at Missouri," Drinkwitz said in a statement. "This is a special place with special people."

Missouri's Nick Bolton, Jordan Elliott named first-team All-SEC


Even during a five-game losing streak that ravaged the second half of Missouri football’s 2019 season, the defense often held its own against some imposing opponents.

Two players were recognized for that Monday. Missouri linebacker Nick Bolton and defensive tackle Jordan Elliott were both named to the Associated Press All-SEC first-team. Twenty-eight writers vote on the teams.
