Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The explosion of hits and runs the Tigers enjoyed early in the varsity softball season has quieted. Runs have been difficult to come by during Excelsior Springs’ eight-game losing streak.

Body RICHMOND – Olivia Kelly cracked the top 20 Monday at the Odessa Tournament at Shirkey Golf Course in Richmond. By finishing her 18-hole, par-71 round with a 113 (+42), the Excelsior Springs junior finished in a three-way tie for 20th.

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – It has taken only seven games for the Tigers to match their 2020 win total in varsity boys soccer. With Tuesday’s 5-3 home win over Warrensburg, Excelsior Springs was 5-2 entering a road meeting Thursday with Cameron.

Body RICHMOND – The Spartans and Tigers each produced at least one top-30 finisher at the Richmond Girls Golf Tournament Wednesday. Richmond’s Kennedy Wrisinger led area finishers by placing in a three-way tie for eighth in the 18-hole tournament at Shirkey Golf Course.

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Before playing in last week’s Ozark Fall Festival, Excelsior Springs was on a scoring tear and a winning tear in varsity softball. Playing in three games in three days, the Tigers went 2-1, posting wins over William Chrisman of Independence and Harrisonville.

Body MOBERLY – One big quarter propelled Excelsior Springs to victory Sept. 10 in the Tigers’ first game away from home.
