Body Orrick pulled off a haul in the boys portion of the Class 1 District 7 track and field meet. The Bearcats won four individual events.

Body would‘ve like a better ending to this season. The Bearcats’ campaign ended May 9 with the Class 1 District 4 Tournament at Chillicothe.

Body Excelsior Springs is sending three boys golfers to state competition. Landon Biermann and Tayvion Kennedy, who’ll graduate Friday; and sophomore Lane Overholtzer are slated to compete in the Class 3 state tournament May 19-20 at Twin Hill Golf Course in Joplin.

Body Marques Shouse outran the competition at the Nick Sloop Invitational. Shouse, a first-year high schooler at Excelsior Springs, won the boys 100-meter dash at the April 28 track and field meet at Lawson, finishing in 12.03 seconds.

Body is racking up the wins as her high school track and field career concludes. Fletcher, who graduates this month from Orrick, pulled off a hat trick at I-70 Conference competition May 3 in Higginsville, hosted by Sweet Springs.
