Body Maddie Wenz wasn’t off the soccer pitch long. Wenz, who recently finished her sophomore year at Excelsior Springs, participated in a youth and high school soccer camp May 27-29 at Tiger Stadium – less a week after the end of her varsity girls season.

Body A former Excelsior Springs baseball player is living out a dream since his playing career ended.

Body Kinley Rogers went 3-for-3 at Class 4 state high school track and field competition. Rogers, who recently finished her junior year at Excelsior Springs, placed in the top six in three events at the May 30-31 meet in Jefferson City.

Body On May 22, Excelsior Springs’ varsity girls soccer season ended, along with the program’s longest winning streak of the year. With their 8-0 loss to Pleasant Hill at Harrisonville in the Class 2 District 7 Tournament, the Tigers finished 2025 129.

Body has two second-place medals to show for her final track meet in an Orrick uniform. The 2025 Orrick graduate was runner-up in the long jump and triple jump at Class 1 state competition.

Body Excelsior Springs is sending four athletes to the Class 4 state track and field meet, scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Jefferson City. Kinley Rogers and Reese Ryan will represent Excelsior Springs on the girls side.
