Layton, Rogers, Wilmes qualify for state

Body Gavin Wilmes and Dalton Layton will finish their respective high school track and field careers at a state meet. Wilmes and Layton, both of whom graduated recently from Excelsior Springs, will compete this weekend at Class 4 state competition at Jefferson City High School.

Tigers qualify for sectionals in 15 events

Body The track and field season has been extended for another week for Excelsior Springs – at least in 15 events. The Tigers extended the season in those events by securing top-four finishes May 13 at Class 4 District 8 competition at Winnetonka High School.
