Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The hometown varsity baseballers broke even for the regular season in varsity baseball. And then, they topped .500 in the postseason.

Body CHILLICOTHE – Another Excelsior Springs varsity boys tennis season is over. The season ended May 10 with a 5-0 road loss to Chillicothe in the Class 1 District 15 Tournament.

Body INDEPENDENCE – On May 9, Ethan Edwards fought through the Missouri heat to qualify for state competition once again.

Body WARRENSBURG – Two Excelsior Springs golfers made the Missouri River Valley Conference West team as they helped the Tigers place second in the MRVC West Tournament May 2 at Mules National Golf Course.

Body PLEASANT HILL – When the Missouri River Valley Conference West Division track field championships finished May 6 at Pleasant Hill High School, Excelsior Springs could claim two individual champions.

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers seek to get back to winning when postseason play begins next week in varsity girls soccer. Excelsior Springs went 3-4 to close the regular season.

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Pleasant Hill and Excelsior Springs had something on the line when they met May 3 at Pleasant Hill in varsity baseball: the Missouri River Valley Conference West Division title. Excelsior Springs was undefeated in MRVC West play.

Body LAS VEGAS – The Raiders just inked a deal with a former Excelsior Springs standout football player. Sam Webb, a 2016 graduate, signed as an undrafted free agent with the Raiders this weekend after the NFL Draft, held in Las Vegas, home to the Raiders since 2020.

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers had a nearly perfect week the last week of April in varsity boys tennis. Excelsior Springs went 3-1 in duals, scoring wins over Odessa and Clinton, both on April 26; and Odessa again on April 28.
