School board approves three tech replacement bids

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS– The school district is receiving technology infrastructure upgrades. On March 8, the Board of Education approved bids submitted by TwoTrees Technologies LLC in Wichita, Kansas, to replace universal power supplies, Wi-Fi switches and Wi-Fi access point devices.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The school district added another construction project to its to-do list. On March 8, the Board of Education approved bids to renovate Westview Elementary, to be known as the District Early Childhood Center.

Bicentennial display arrives in April

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The exhibit “Struggle for Statehood” will come to the Excelsior Springs Museum and Archives in April, operations chief Kathy Duncan said. “This is a traveling exhibit that’s coming from the Missouri Humanities Council,” Duncan said.

City’s safe streets survey fields ‘really good results’

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The city has received “really good results” regarding the safe streets survey, City Manager Molly McGovern said March 1. The online SurveyMonkey.com survey received 246 responses about whether the city should seek a sidewalk and street work grant for the city’ west side.

City reports $22.2 million in building permits for 2020

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Fiscal year 2020 was big for building permit revenue, Economic Development Director Melinda Mehaffy told the City Council. Mehaffy presented the Planning & Zoning Department’s annual report when the City Council convened March 1 in a hybrid meeting.
