Community Bank announces changes in leadership

RICHMOND – Community Bank of Missouri announced Stephanie Landwehr has been named the bank’s president and chief operating officer. Landwehr began her banking career in Richmond in 1978 after graduating from the University of Missouri with a degree in accounting.

Tigers split Mexico triangular

MEXICO – Excelsior Springs played baseball for the first time since May 2019. Over the weekend, the Tigers visited faced Mexico and Marshfield in an annual triangular to start the season in Mexico.

Chappel to play golf for CMU

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Hope Chappel will be an Eagle in a few months, but she will remain a Tiger at heart. The Excelsior Springs senior has signed a letter of intent to continue her education and golf career at Central Methodist University in Fayette.

Nursing home reopens, then forced to close

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Elation collapsed into disappointment for Valley Manor Rehabilitation Center residents and staff after the yearlong virus lockdown ended Friday, only to resume Monday. When the doors opened last week, families got together for the first time in a long time.

City reports $22.2 million in building permits for 2020

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Fiscal year 2020 was big for building permit revenue, Economic Development Director Melinda Mehaffy told the City Council. Mehaffy presented the Planning & Zoning Department’s annual report when the City Council convened March 1 in a hybrid meeting.
