As November begins, Excelsior Springs residents are being encouraged to keep the connections formed during summer block parties alive by gathering again – this time around the dinner table. Neighborhood Specialist Laura Mize is inviting the community to take part in the “Friendsgiving with Neighbors” initiative, which promotes gratitude, fellowship and friendship while helping combat loneliness and isolation.

As colder weather approaches, Excelsior Springs School District (ESSD) officials are reminding families how decisions will be made when snow, ice or extreme temperatures affect the school day. District leaders emphasized safety will remain the top priority while they work to maintain consistent learning for students.
