On October 26, 2021, Wallace Reid Sims left this world to be with our Lord. Wally was 92 years young. Born on May 23, 1929, in Highlandville, MO to Loral and Mildred Sims. Wally was only five when his father passed away. Mildred later met and married Howard Blevins and gave Wally two sisters.
Lloyd Jr. “Bud” Ranes passed away Oct. 25, 2021, at the Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab Center.
Bud was born on April 22, 1937, in Excelsior Springs, the son of Lloyd and Helen Ranes.
Bud married Bernita Holt Ranes on July 3, 1957.
They moved to Grand Lake, OK where Bud became mayor of Grand Lake.

She was born in Greenville, AL on Nov. 4, 1940, and lived her life in Alabama and Missouri.
Mary Lou McCullough, 88, of Elkhorn, MO, passed away on Oct. 22, 2021, at Liberty Hospital.
Mary was born Nov. 22, 1932, in South Dakota, the daughter of Albert and Evelyn Ross. She married Lawrence Gilbert McCullough of Kansas City on April 14, 1949. They were married for 51 years.
Jon Lindsay Gardner of Excelsior Springs passed away on Oct. 15, 2021, at home surrounded by his family.
He was born June 12, 1954, in Woodland, CA and was one of five children of Aaron and Alene (Gittings) Gardner.
Jon married his loving wife, Cindy, on Oct. 12, 1990, and they shared 31 years as husband and wife. Jon was a devoted husband, father, and an amazing papa.
Lynn Sherrell, 64, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Oct. 22, 2021, after a long illness.
She leaves behind her sister, Lee Watkins; brother-in-law, Paul Watkins; his siblings, Craig Watkins, Kathy Robinson, and Patty Summers; and cousins, Linda Thompson, Harry Tilden, Tom Tilden and their families.
She was preceded in death by parents, Carl and Carol Sherrell.
Delores J. Hughes, 82, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, at the Valley Manor Center in Excelsior Springs, MO. She was born on Sept. 5, 1939, in Scott City, KS, the daughter of Lee L. And Gertrude V. Cauthon Brown. Delores graduated from Scott Community High School in 1957 and moved to Kansas City, MO until 1975, moving to Excelsior Springs, MO.
