Clay County Sheriff’s Office chase ends in four charges

LIBERTY – A March 8 Clay County Sheriff’s Office pursuit resulted in an arrest and four felony charges. The Clay County Prosecutor’s Office charged Jimmy Sonneveldt, 32, with tampering with a motor vehicle, first degree, a Class D felony; two counts of leaving the scene of an accident causing property damage or $1,000 or more, each a Class E felony; and resisting arrest by fleeing, a Class E felony.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – A juniorladen crew will hit the courts this spring for the Tigers in varsity boys tennis. Excelsior Springs returns four juniors from last season: Joshua Oldham, Carter Pitts, Colby Mueller and Lee Mueller.

DNR releases water report covering Ray, Clay districts

JEFFERSON CITY – The Department of Natural Resources reviewed water quality for all eight public water systems in Ray County and Excelsior Springs PWS in Clay County. “No violations occurred in the calendar year 2020,” DNR reported for each district in the release of the 2022 Census of Missouri Public Water Systems.
