Candidates for the Excelsior Springs School District (ESSD) board have shared their view on hot topics in the race for open seats. Voters will choose three of the five candidates — Jill Evert, incumbent Kenny Manley, incumbent Darren McKown and Andrew Starkebaum — in the April 4 election.

Excelsior Springs club bowlers roll their way to state

Some Excelsior Springs bowlers will soon get to test their skills against the state’s top high school club bowlers. On May 6, seniors Joshua Oldham and David Falconer, juniors Colt Bowman and Olivia Smith, sophomore Brody Hurla and freshman Quinlynn Davis will compete in the Missouri PBA Pepsi High School State Tournament at Oasis Lanes in Union.
