NHTSA warns of children’s safety

Body The National Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA) has reported that more than 940 children have died of heatstroke because they were left or trapped in a hot car over the past 25 years.

Program assists in recovery

Body Crescent Lake Christian Center started the New Freedom Recovery Program to help those in the community who succumb to addiction. Implemented by Steve Wayman, the program has been in existence for three and a half years.

Eden Village to host panel discussion

Body A discussion will be held in Excelsior Springs to discuss the city’s need for Eden Village, a non-profit organization aiming to end homelessness. The discussion will take place Thursday, July 27, at the Mid-Continent Public Library in Excelsior Springs.
