ESHS Student Council hosts Reindeer Run

Patrons of all ages ran, jogged, and walked down Lover’s Lane in Excelsior Springs as the Lane of Lights lit up the pathway to raise funds for the Excelsior Springs High School’s Student Council. Local high school educator Seth Morton explained that people of all ages throughout the community came to show support for the ESHS student council and participated in the paid event to raise funds for school student council activities..

Small Business Saturday came and went again in Excelsior Springs, as residents shop their holiday gift lists, many come to recall the importance of supporting local and small businesses. “Shopping small and local means so much to those of us who have worked hard to build a business we think our community would love,” said Sarah Kelley of D&S Guns LLC.

Clay County open house coming to Excelsior Springs

Clay County recently announced they are in the comprehensive planning process and will host a series of open house events for area residents interested in participating in the process. According to a recent press release, the comprehensive plan’s goal is to provide the community with a compelling plan to guide the decision-making for the county’s development process.

Missouri students invited to participate in No MOre Trash! contest

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Department of Transportation invites Missouri students in grades K-12 to help fight litter in Missouri – and to have creative and educational fun – by participating in the 2024 “Yes You CAN Make Missouri Litter-Free” trash-can-decorating contest. The contest is part of MoDOT’s annual “No MOre Trash!” statewide litter campaign, which is held in April.
