Raytown administrator to lead Excelsior schools

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Raytown School District’s assistant superintendent of support services, Dr. Travis Hux, will serve as the new Excelsior Springs School District superintendent.

School Board President Tray Harkins confirmed the board’s Dec. 14 decision.

“It’s all said and done now,” he said Friday.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Excelsior Springs School District COVID Task Force stated virus numbers have caused Westview Elementary to remain virtual until the end of the semester. Whether the Christmas break will help to end that school’s closure or lead to additional school closures is unclear, District Assistant Superintendent Jaret Tomlinson said.
