Orilla I. Baker, 68, of Excelsior Springs passed away Dec. 18, 2025, at Avalon Health and Wellness in Liberty.

Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Jan. 9, 2026, at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs, 5951 Missouri Highway 10. A memorial service will follow at 2.

Mrs. Baker was born Jan. 11, 1957, in Excelsior Springs to Robert Orilla Baker

and Myrtle Pate.

She graduated in 1975 from Excelsior Springs High School. She earned her social services degree from Penn Valley in Kansas City.

Orilla worked as a social worker at Valley Manor in Excelsior Springs for almost 30 years.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. She enjoyed making jewelry and spoiling all of her grandchildren. She loved her Yorkies, and Christmas was her favorite time of year.

Orilla was preceded in death by her father, Robert Pate, in 2005; husband, Richard Baker, in 2018; and mother, Myrtle Adams-Pate, in 2019.

She is survived by her son, Corey (Jocelyn) Kellogg of Texas; granddaughter, Kelsey (Terry) Adams of Kansas; and great-grandchildren, Ryder, Terence and Isabel.
