Sharon Clemens

Sharon Lee Clemens, 86, of Hudson, Fla., passed away April 2, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Sharon was born Oct. 16, 1938, to Edgar and Norma Pierce in Kansas City, and grew up in Excelsior Springs. On Dec. 21, 1955, Sharon married Ken Clemens. She worked at the J.C. Penney Co. in Excelsior Springs for many years, then later retired from the Excelsior Springs Water Department.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Judy Pierce.

Survivors include her husband of the home, Ken; daughter, Gale Hammond of Hudson; and son, Marty Clemens (Cheryl) of Kansas City. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Kyle Dykes (Adriana), Nick Dykes, Ryan Clemens, Taylor Grimmett (Jordan), Adam Clemens (Haleigh) and Tristan Weary; and great-grandchildren, Merry, Stanley, Oscar, Kira, Mina, Emmy, Levi and Ira.

Services are pending for later in April or early May.
