Times like these past weeks — when an escaped convict was on the loose from Ray County — I’ve never felt more like a real reporter. Listening to police scanners and arriving at the scene this past week has felt more like a fever dream.

Nearly 5,000 years ago, humans discovered the written language. Stemming discovery of hieroglyphs, cuneiform, and the roman alphabet had been shared. Throughout history people have learned the ways of communication through time and to each other.
