Excelsior Springs varsity volleyball coach Cindy Price and her Tigers have their first match victory this season. They got it during tournament play Sept.
The Excelsior Springs varsity girls tennis team has found a groove, according to coach Richie Marsh. “These girls are playing good tennis right now and it is showing up each night,” Marsh said.
A change in approach was key to Excelsior Springs’ 14-7 Sept. 6 road win over Winnetonka in varsity 11-man football, according to Jake Danneman, the program’s new coach.
For the first time since 2015, Excelsior Springs has a winning record through four duals in varsity girls tennis. As of this writing, the Tigers were 3-1 with two duals pending this week – Wednesday at Belton and Thursday against visiting Lexington.
