Local residential fire claims one life

An early morning house fire on Stratton Street claimed the life of one person last week after flames tore through a residential structure on the city’s north side. Excelsior Springs Fire Department units were dispatched to the scene at 5:23 a.m.

The Excelsior Springs Police Department reported the following arrests handled recently by the department. Wednesday, April 30 At 5:45 p.m., Scott Brown II, 38, was arrested for outside warrant service.
