The Excelsior Springs City Council has approved a $59,410 contract with Phillips Paving Company, Inc. for asphalt paving at Boundless Backyard Park, a project aimed at enhancing accessibility and outdoor recreation in the community.“This is the first step to being able to access the Boundless Backyard, the new park off Milwaukee Street,” said Excelsior Springs Parks and Recreation and Community Center Director Nate Williams.“This would be the drive up off of Milwaukee Street and the parking spaces. We’re recommending the approval of Phillips Paving Company to do the work for us. It would be this spring and the Parks and Rec Board approved that this was the lowest and best bid received.
