ES man arrested on felony drug charge
An Excelsior Springs man pled not guilty in Clay County Court after being arrested for one felony possession charge.Reese T. Anderson, 35, was charged with a class D felony of possession of a controlled substance.He recently appeared before Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge Louis Angles, who ordered Anderson to appear in Division One for an arraignment hearing at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 26.According to the complaint filed by Clay County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Madilyn Anderson, the range of punishment for a class D felony is imprisonment in the custody of the Missouri Department of Corrections for a term not less than one year and not to exceed seven years; or by imprisonment for a special term not to exceed one year in the county jail or other authorized penal institution; or by a fine not to exceed $10,000; or by both imprisonment and a fine.All officer names are redacted in the probable cause stat...
