An Excelsior Springs man has been granted a bond reduction while facing one felony charge.

Justin A. Clark, 37, is charged with resisting or interfering with an arrest for a felony.

Recently appearing before Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Lori J. Baskins, Clark entered a not-guilty plea and moved for modifications to the conditions of his release as his original bond was set at $5,000 cash or corporate surety allowed.

Baskins allowed Clark to be released on his own recognizance with a set home plan.

Clark was ordered to appear this week for a criminal setting hearing, but his public defender, Rebecca M. Abeln, filed a motion for a continuance as she will be on vacation.

The continuance was granted and Clark will appear next at 9:30 a.m. on July 9.
