This year’s Excelsior Springs Fire Department contingent included Assistant Chief Zac St. John, Captain Jason Ortbals, Firefighter Camden Dickey,Firefighter Cody Horky, Firefighter Em Rice and Firefighter Ryder Rempel.For Rice and Rempel, it was their first time climbing 110 stories in the Kansas City 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.The event, held inside the Skyline Collection highrise, replicates the 110 stories New York firefighters attempted to ascend that morning in 2001.
