A former Excelsior Springs police officer has entered a not guilty plea to a misdemeanor charge after allegedly submitting a report on an inmate’s attempted escape that was subsequently contradicted by surveillance footage.Secilia M. Sanchez, 33, of Excelsior Springs, is facing one misdemeanor charge of making a false report. She recently entered a not guilty plea before Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge Karen L.
