Residents filled Mosby’s small city hall to once again challenge a proposed annexation that would allow Ideker Mining to expand underground blasting, raising questions about land use, property damage and what several speakers called an erosion of trust.The hearing was technically a do-over, as attorneys explained the city’s earlier public notice was published late, invalidating the May hearing. That procedural misstep set the stage for more testimony that grew tense as residents confronted Ideker representatives, pressed the board for answers and traded accusations about intimidation tactics.Although repeatedly stated during the hearing that the initial hearing notice was delayed due to a “publication issue”, it should be noted the official journal records prove otherwise.
