Ira “Corky” Williams, 92, of Excelsior Springs passed away Jan. 27, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Corky was born Nov. 6, 1933, in Orrick. His parents were Harold “Slim” Williams and Nellie Maye Williams. He graduated in 1951 from Excelsior Springs High School. He married Faye (Wendleton) Williams in June 1955. In 1990, he retired from General Motors as a general foreman of the Chassis Department.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Faye Williams; and sons, Gregg Williams and Chriss (Tracee) Williams. Other survivors include his grandchildren, Blake (Lisa) Williams, Amy (Marty) Espe’, Chase Williams, and Kristi Williams and Brian Williams.

In addition, he is survived by his great-grandchildren, Dylan (Katey) McIntosh, Darius McIntosh, Ashlon McIntosh, Rylee Williams, Brady Williams, Dakota Williams, Tristan Williams, Amelia Williams, Sofia Williams, Olivia Williams and Leo Espe’; and great-great-grandchildren, Everly McIntosh and Lia Wayman.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially taking pictures (lots of pictures) at every family event. He loved his time at their Lake of the Ozarks cabin and enjoying retirement. He also enjoyed watching sports on television (any sport!) and old Westerns.

He also was member of the Excelsior Springs High School Hall of Fame and was a 50-plus-year member of the Elks Lodge No. 1001.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Sue Teegarden and Carol Cole.

Visitation was scheduled for 10-11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, 217 W. Broadway, Excelsior Springs, with the service to begin at 11, followed by a graveside service at Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Elks Lodge No. 1001 in Excelsior Springs.
